The Celtman - "A Little Chance"

The Celtman 2025 · 14 June 2025
On the 14th June 2025, I'm going to be putting myself through my toughest and biggest personal challenge by undertaking the Celtman Extreme Triathlon.
SWIM 3.4K: in cold, jellyfish infested Atlantic waters. The water in Loch Shieldaig is cold, consistently cold. The extreme nature of the temperature means our swim course is 3.4K. Even with this shortened distance athletes can suffer badly from cold.
BIKE 200K on incredible Highland roads. The stunning CELTMAN! bike route takes you along some historic single track passes and wide open coastal roads. The route includes 2200 metres of climbing and can be affected greatly by our varied weather. It is common to find a strong headwind on the last third of the course, just when you thought you could relax!
Run 42K over two Munros: The CELTMAN! run is unsurpassed for it's challenging nature and beauty, ascending over 1600 metres. In Scotland any mountain over 3000 ft (914.4 metres) is classed as a Munro. You will attempt two of these during the race on the Beinn Eighe range.
I'm going to be raising funds for my wife Leigh-Ann's charity The Oxygen Works. They are a local, independent Scottish charity (SC020475) based in Inverness. We provide oxygen therapy and personalised support and treatments to people living in the Scottish Highlands.
Across all of our operations and interactions we focus on the individuals we support at all times. Providing the highest standard of treatment and client care. We operate an environment of trust and respect to provide a positive experience for all.
