So it is that time of year again when I dust off the running trainers and stomp around the streets of the City of London trying to raise money for Dougie Mac, which is a charity close to the hearts of many Stokies, a charity that needs the funds in order to continue providing the essential services that they do..... https://dougiemac.org.uk/

I am again running in memory of my nan, who the Dougie Mac made comfortable in her final days and was a really important person in my life and who I think about every day, and Gaz Cooper - a friend taken way too early and as a group of friends, we continue to remember him and raise money in his name to keep his name alive. The Dougie Mac is a local charity to both, literally up the road and so it is the perfect charity to be able to support.

This will be the fourth time running this half marathon and I am hoping that with the continued generosity of my friends, family and work family, we can continue raising money, which currently stands at just under £7k including the incredible matching offer by my employers charity foundation, The QBE Foundation.

I appreciate that charity starts at home and everybody is tightening their purse strings, and this means that I appreciate every single £ donated even more.
