Story
We are excited to repeat our amazing marathon fundraiser success of 2025 with an even greater challenge. This year we are going to run the breadth of the UK, along the historic Roman remains of Hadrian's Wall, covering approximately 110 km. This personal challenge is not just about pushing our limits; it’s about making a real difference. Our target this year is to raise £10000, 100% of which will go towards the materials to build a new school to support the education of children displaced and marginalised by war.
The situation in Burma is bleak currently it holds the claim of being the location of the longest running civil war. Largely unreported the effect on generations of Burmese has been devastating. For the children of displaced migrants living on the Thai and Bangladesh borders education is a key way to break the cycle of poverty and gives hope for a brighter future.
Last year we raised more than £8,000 of funds which allowed us to complete a school for over 300 children, providing them with access to a safe space to learn and invest in their future.
We have worked in this region for over a decade completing many learning centre builds but with each passing year it gets harder to raise funds and support the growing numbers of children.
By supporting our journey of going the extra mile you can help us raise our target of £10,000 for a new learning centre bringing opportunities and education to 100s more children, let’s create lasting change for those in need.
