Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Here at The Extraordinary Hat Company, we believe in the power of a good hat. Not just to complete an outfit, but to spark joy, ignite creativity, and most importantly, to bring people together. That’s why we’re absolutely thrilled to be organising the World Hat Walk in Fakenham on April 27th, 2025! Get ready to dust off your most spectacular headwear and join us for a colourful celebration of community and fundraising for some incredible causes.

Why are we taking part? Because we believe in making a difference, one fabulous hat at a time. The World Hat Walk is a brilliant way to raise vital funds for important charities while having a fantastic time doing it. It's a chance to express yourself, connect with your neighbours, and support organisations that are working tirelessly to improve lives.

This year, we’re proud to be supporting Brain Tumour Research, the World Hat Walk’s national charity. Brain tumours are devastating, and research is crucial to finding better treatments and ultimately, a cure. Every donation, every step we take on April 27th, will contribute to this vital work.

But our commitment to giving back doesn’t stop there. As a local company, we're deeply invested in our community, which is why we're also raising money for two fantastic local charities: LILAC (Ladies in League Against Cancer) and the North West Norfolk Autism Association.

LILAC holds a special place in our hearts. For years, we've seen first-hand the incredible work they do, raising funds to help people facing cancer in our area. Their dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment to their community is truly inspiring. Their work directly impacts the lives of our friends, neighbours and customers, and we're honoured to support them.

Equally important is the North West Norfolk Autism Association. We believe in creating a more inclusive and understanding community for everyone. This organisation provides vital support and resources for individuals with autism and their families. They offer a safe and supportive environment, promoting understanding and acceptance and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

So, why these three charities? Because they represent hope, support and community. They are organisations that are making a tangible difference in the lives of people facing incredible challenges.

Join us on Sunday, April 27th, 2025! We'll be meeting at 12:30 pm outside Aldiss in Fakenham, ready to kick off the walk at 1:00 pm. We'll be taking a scenic stroll around Fakenham, with plenty of photo stops to show off your amazing hats and capture the fun.

Whether you sport a towering top hat, a vibrant floral creation, or a simple but stylish beret, your presence and your donations will make a real difference. Let's come together, show off our creativity, and raise vital funds for these incredible charities.

Register your place here: https://theextraordinaryhat.co.uk/pages/world-hat-walk-2025-fakenham?_pos=2&_sid=80a116cbb&_ss=r now.

We can’t wait to see you there, ready to walk, laugh, and make a difference, one hat at a time! Let's make the World Hat Walk Fakenham an extraordinary success!
