I was a school teacher when the war in Ukraine began. I couldn't believe that while the kids around me were running circles and laughing carelessly, there were children at that very moment fleeing their homes probably forever.

My grandfather used to tell me about growing up under Nazi occupation in Eastern Ukraine, but I couldn't imagine it could happen again. Not only in Ukraine, but across Africa, Middle East, all over the world - 1 in 6 children globally are affected by war!

That’s when the idea for 'The Flight' was born.

We devoted ourselves to creating this film with a tiny team, half of which can't even risk showing their names in credits.
