The Flying Nurses fundraiser for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

Jackie Hunter is raising money for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

PPWH Skydive · 26 September 2026

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, situated in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, exists to help our patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. Where it may not be possible to add days to lives, we aim to add life to days for patients and their families.

Story

Seven Nurses. One Mission. One Incredible Leap.

Every day, seven dedicated nurses — Ann Jackie, Andrew, Roshni, Fiona, Kayley and Rachael — walk through the doors of our hospice inpatient unit with compassion, courage, and kindness. They care for patients and families during life’s most precious and difficult moments, offering comfort, dignity, and unwavering support.

Now, they’re stepping far outside their comfort zone.

Together, Ann, Jackie, Andrew, Roshni, Fiona, Kayley and Rachael have signed up to take on the ultimate challenge — a tandem skydive! Not because they love heights, but because they believe so passionately in the hospice they call their workplace and the people they care for every day.

As they stand at the open door of an aircraft thousands of feet above the ground, they’ll experience the same mix of nerves, excitement, trust, and courage that they encourage others to find every single day. It’s a challenge that will push them to their limits, create unforgettable memories, and remind them that incredible things happen when you dare to take a leap.

But this jump is about so much more than adrenaline.

Every pound raised will help our hospice continue providing outstanding specialist care, comfort, and support to patients and their loved ones when they need it most. These funds will help ensure that families continue to receive compassionate care in a place where every moment matters.

The seven nurses are wearing their uniforms and parachutes, turning fear into determination and adventure into hope. They may be freefalling through the sky for just a few minutes, but the difference your donation makes will last a lifetime for the patients and families who rely on our hospice.

They’re taking the leap, so our hospice can continue lifting others.

Please support our fearless team as they take on the leap of a lifetime. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us continue delivering compassionate care, dignity, and comfort to those who need it most.

Seven nurses. One incredible challenge. One amazing cause. Together, we can make every moment matter.

100% of donations will go to the Hospice as the nurses are funding this themselves
