Walking for Memories: Bamford Edge & Stanage Edge Circular – Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society

Walking for Memories: Bamford Edge & Stanage Edge Circular – Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society

On 22nd August 2026, myself, along with a wonderful group of colleagues and friends, will be taking on a 5.5-mile walk around Bamford Edge and Stanage Edge in the beautiful Peak District to raise vital funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society.

This cause is one that is incredibly close to our hearts. Through both our personal lives and our professional experiences, we have seen first-hand the impact that dementia and Alzheimer's disease have on individuals and the people who love and care for them. We have witnessed the challenges, the heartbreak, but also the courage, resilience, and precious moments of connection that remain.

Every person living with dementia deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and understanding. Families deserve support during what can be one of the most difficult journeys they will ever face. By fundraising for the Alzheimer's Society, we hope to help provide life-changing support services, fund groundbreaking research, and raise awareness so that nobody has to face dementia alone.

Our walk is more than just 5.5 miles through stunning scenery—it is a walk for cherished memories, for those we have loved and lost, for those currently living with dementia, and for future generations who deserve hope for a world without it.

If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, your kindness will make a real difference. Every contribution helps support the incredible work of the Alzheimer's Society and brings us one step closer to a brighter future for everyone affected by dementia.

Thank you for supporting our journey and for helping us turn every step we take into hope, comfort, and change. ❤️
