It all started with a conversation in the pub, like all mad ideas do, AJ Andy was talking about the Rust Bucket Rally and the driving adventures they have whilst raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Lake Como, Alps, cars and antics were all mentioned. We were all hooked and before you know it, committed to a trip to Lake Como and back in 4 days in cars costing around £1000. (Hence the rust bucket).

All four of us, Andy and Sarah (AJs Only Pans)

and Andy and Emma (The Grand Tour(ment)

have invested our own money for our cars, running costs, hotels, ferries etc to raise money for our local charity - Eastwood Memory Cafe.

The challenge will take in 5 countries, over 2000 miles, 2 alpine passes, taking shifts to drive in old cars where anything can happen. But we don’t just do it by our selves - there are another 20 rust buckets in convoy!!! I haven’t even mentioned the antics that occur with the water pistols, silly string and all sorts of other shenanigans!!!
