Story
Nine brave (and possibly slightly delusional) souls are cycling from Manchester to Caversham.
Yes, it’s a long way.
Yes, our legs will question our life choices.
And yes, there will be at least one person who regrets not buying padded shorts.
We’re doing it to raise money for The Heights Primary School — a school that plays a huge role in shaping our children’s confidence, curiosity and character.
Like many schools across the UK right now, budgets are stretched. Funding simply hasn’t kept pace with rising costs. Schools are being asked to do more, with less — and while the staff continue to show up with energy and care every single day, there’s only so much they can do without additional support.
That’s where we come in. (On bikes. For a very long time.)
The money raised will go directly towards improving the quality of resources, experiences and opportunities available to the children — whether that’s better equipment, enriched learning materials, extracurricular activities or enhancements to the school environment.
In short: things that make school not just somewhere children attend, but somewhere they thrive.
We know times are tight for many families. Any contribution — big or small — makes a genuine difference. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing the page and cheering us on is equally appreciated.
We’ll be powering through hills, headwinds and sore legs knowing it’s for something that truly matters.
Please support us if you can.
Because while we’ll only be on our bikes for a few days…
the impact on the children will last far longer.
Thank you 🙌🚴
