The Hought's Tiny Tickers' Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

Hannah H is raising money for Tiny Tickers

The Hought's Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 6 September 2025

This classic Yorkshire Dales challenge involves 25 miles & 1500m ascent. We'll conquer Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough for tiny hearts.

Story

The Hought's take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for Tiny Tickers – and one of us (doesn't take a genius to figure out which one) is seriously questioning their life choices already!

In September, Tim and I (Hannah) are attempting the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for a charity that's incredibly close to our hearts. Tiny Tickers is a small but mighty organisation that helps babies with congenital heart defects (CHD), like our daughter Phoebe, who was diagnosed with CHD as a baby.

Tiny Tickers supported us through the most terrifying time in our lives – when Phoebe was seriously ill in hospital and in the months (and years) that followed. Their work made such a difference to us as a family, and we’ve tried to give back ever since – from heartfelt thank-yous, bake sales, and to founding The Rose Charity Ball. But this time, we’re walking (or potentially crawling) the three peaks, 24 miles, and more hills than my dodgy knees would like.

Full disclosure: I (Hannah) am not a natural hiker- I don't even necessarily like walking. My friends repeatedly tell me I walk too slow. The chances are that I will cry a significant amount, complain a lot and have to get Tim to drag me along.. so please pray for his patience!

If you’re able to support us – no matter how big or small – we’d be so grateful. Every step we take is for babies like Phoebe and the amazing work Tiny Tickers continues to do.

Thank you so much,

Hannah & Tim
