Story
As many of you know, I was ill with severe pre-eclampsia during my pregnancy. The emergency arrival of our daughter Katie in October 2023, two months early, meant we spent six weeks in the neonatal unit at AMU. The care we both received was second to none, as was that given to Derek. We will all be forever grateful and see this as an opportunity to try to give something back.
Katie and I will try to do the majority of the challenge walking with her buggy, with Derek joining in when he can - and helping out on his bike if we start to struggle! 😂 I’m sure I can walk this far if I really put my mind to it…💕
We know it’s a lot to ask, but we would be incredibly grateful if any of you were able to spare a pound or two to help us meet our target. Thank you so much in advance.
Love,
Caroline, Derek and Katie

Crosshouse Children's Fund is the charity for babies, children and young people in hospital in Ayrshire and Arran.
Each year more than 25,000 babies, children and young people are treated at University Hospital Crosshouse, and the Ayrshire Maternity and Neonatal Units.
With the help of communities across Ayrshire and Arran, Crosshouse Children's Fund raises vital funds to help these children and their families.
The charity provides pioneering medical equipment and research, helps families navigate the pressures of a hospital stay, and supports the mental health of children by enabling them to play in hospital.
None of this would be possible without generous donations and fundraising – thank you.
