We’re raising funds to create a dedicated Women’s Centre for Exeter – The Liberty Centre – and we need your help to make it happen.

Exeter has been without a women’s centre for many years, despite the ongoing and growing challenges women face: homelessness, domestic and sexual abuse, trauma, poor mental health, and social isolation. These experiences often overlap, creating barriers that can feel impossible to break through alone.

CoLab Women has supported women facing multiple disadvantage since 2017, offering a safe space, practical help, and emotional support rooted in compassion and trust. Over the years, we’ve learned one vital thing – women need spaces just for them. Spaces that feel safe, empowering, welcoming, and full of possibility.

The Liberty Centre will be just that.

A place of safety. A place to heal. A place to grow.

It will offer:

Specialist domestic and sexual violence support

Trauma-informed recovery services

Opportunities for learning, connection, and creativity

Support with housing, money, parenting and more

A calm, warm environment where women feel seen and valued
