The Long Paddle joint Fundraiser for The Harry Johnson Trust & NWCR

The Long Paddle Adventure - The Six take on the Severn! · 4 June 2025
This June, Allan, Darren, Jim, Mike, Simon & Stewart are setting out on an epic endurance challenge to raise funds for North West Cancer Research and The Harry Johnson Trust.
The group will meet in the Quarry, Shrewsbury on 4th June for the big send off - they'll cycle 50 miles to the Source of the Severn car park and then the next day embark on a walk to the source of the Severn, before cycling on to Welshpool.
From there on out the group are in their kayaks and on the navigable Severn, spending 8 days kayaking to Severn beach - no small feat!
We're raising funds for two causes close to our hearts and we ask that if possible we keep the donations as evenly split as we can!
North West Cancer Research is a local, independent charity tackling cancer research across the North West and North Wales. Their goal is simple: to put our region's cancer needs first!
The Harry Johnson Trust was established in November 2014 following the death of seven year old Harry in July of that year. Harry died following a nine month fight with Double Hit Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The trust offers help and support to children and teenagers who receive care from the Oncology Team at The Princess Royal Hospital in Shropshire.
Thank you for all of your donations and support - it's greatly appreciated by us and these fantastic charities!
