Jonny & Michael take on the Falkirk Wheel for Change Mental Health

Jonathan Mitchell is raising money for Change Mental Health

Falkirk Wheel Abseil · 22 March 2026 ·

Change Mental Health wants to build a future where no one needs to face mental illness alone. We seek to change society by changing attitudes, fighting stigma and influencing government to ensure a better quality of life for those affected by mental illness.

Story

Okay... So I suppose we should start with the fact that I (Jonny) am absolutely TERRIFIED of heights and I (Michael) love to see Jonny terrified at heights and am only a little bit scared...

But we are putting those fears behind us and taking on the Falkirk Wheel to raise money for Change Mental Health.

Change Mental Health provide transformational support to over 10,000 people across Scotland, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need, when they need it and in a way which works best for them.

They seek to change society by changing attitudes, fighting stigma and influencing government to ensure a better quality of life for those affected by mental illness.

We both work directly in the mental health space and know just how important this work is.

If you can donate that's brilliant, but if you can't just now, please just check in with someone. You never know how important the words "How are you?" really are.

Every penny raised goes to Change Mental Health and will ensure that no one in Scotland faces mental ill health alone. AI was able to put a smile on our faces for the above picture, but your donations will hopefully be able to put a smile on our face on the day... no promises though... just wait for the real pictures!
