Last Winter was a very difficult time, with hay prices rising and also with the increase of horses coming into our care, as their owners can no longer afford to house and feed them.

Along with this, the extremely hot Summer has resulted in feeding additional hay throughout, due to the lack of grass in the fields.

In order to keep our doors open and continue helping these beautiful animals who desperately need our care, we are looking to the community to help raise £5000, which should be enough to pay for much needed hay supplies, which would see us through the upcoming Winter period.

We have had the support of bigger charities, such as Blue Cross Bransby and British Horse Society, who have taken in some of our youngsters to give us breathing space.

It’s not only the horses who benefit from our charity’s work, the therapeutic impact on our volunteers’ wellbeing is significant, and losing this would be a great loss to our community.
