Story
Sadly, most of the play equipment in our beloved village playpark was condemned during a recent inspection, and we're now in desperate need of vital funds to make the space safe for young people to play in once again - as well as creating a community space for our rural residents and surrounding villages.
A dedicated team have been working on sourcing new playpark equipment and have redesigned the space in collaboration with equipment specialists.
We have already put on numerous, well supported events and have raised about half of the necessary funds with a huge boost from the National Lottery who have donated £18,500 to the cause. Health and Safety compliant play equipment is incredibly expensive and we are in need of just under £100,000.
Understandably, available grants are issued to causes in deprived areas so we are really up against it - rapidly realising that local grants may not be the answer.
We are therefore calling on residents of Northmoor and surrounding villages, family members and the general public to support us in our quest to make The Northmoor Playpark and Community Space the wonderful hub of the village it once was.
Please consider supporting us; every penny will be gratefully received!
Forever thankful,
The Northmoor Playpark and Community Space Committee
