Story
As we will be the first ever Father/Son team, quite aptly named ‘The Original & the Remix’ to take on this challenge & with Bailey being the youngest athlete to take on this brutal arctic expedition covering 185km across frozen Swedish Lapland with temperature’s dipping as low as -35°, completely self sufficient we would like to raise both awareness & funds for 2 amazing charities that have been chosen by us both-
Anyone who knows Bailey will know his love of rugby so charity 1-
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.
Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help.
Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities.
Charity 2 is a very important charity to so many young people-
YoungMinds is the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
