Story
In November 2025, I'll be taking on a once-in-a-lifetime journey from Vietnam to Cambodia. My fellow cyclists and I will be cycling over 500km to meet Lendwithcare entrepreneurs and raise funds for CARE's poverty fighting projects.
In a decade of pandemic, conflict, economic difficulties, and seemingly bad news wherever we turn, I feel like I focussed inwards. I'm now reaching for some light. I would love to be able to raise the amount required for me to join in this fantastic adventure, so your donation can support those caught up in the most difficult situations, and help entrepreneurs start and develop micro businesses that transform their lives and the lives of their families and communities.
I know this looks like a jolly (and don't get me wrong - it's an amazing adventure to be part of!). But those of you who've seen me recently will know I'm over fifty, fat and pretty unfit at this point. This will be a huge challenge for me, and I'll earn every penny of your pledge. I'll be training to make sure I can complete it. Seeing your donations adding up will really motivate me to go on when the going gets tough.
There are a hundred calls on your money I'm sure, but if you can spare something for this wonderful cause I will be very, very grateful.
I'll be meeting the costs of my going on the trip and the carbon offset for the flights, so every penny you donate will go to Care International UK.
