Story
Thank for for visiting my Just Giving Page.
As many of you know, Parkinson's is a charity that is very close to my heart. My dad, Jimmy D, has been living with Parkinson's for almost two decades!
Very sadly, my dad is reaching the end of his journey, and no medical breakthrough will come in time to help him. But please help me (and my fellow pickleball friends) to raise funds so that more research can be done into this terrible illness. So that other people who are living with Parkinson's, or who are diagnosed with the illness in the future, may have some hope!
It would be great to think that we had all played a little part in finding a treatment that could help people living with this terrible illness.
We are a group of Pickleball Players from St Albans and Harpenden who have decided to use our enthusiasm for the game to raise funds for Parkinson's UK and the Chilterns Neuro Centre. Please support us as we play Pickleball continuously for 9 hours on Saturday November 29th 2025.
Please read the information below about the charities we are supporting. You can choose which charity to support but if would be great if the support is equal for both worthy cause. Please scroll down on the page if you would like to donate to the Chilterns Neuro Centre.
Around 150,000 people in the UK live with Parkinson's, a progressive neurological condition causing symptoms like tremors, stiffness, and problems with mobility and other aspects of daily living. No cure exists, but Parkinson's UK provides extensive support and funds research for new treatments.
The Chilterns Neuro Centre supports people living with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and stroke survivors. The Centre offers a number of life changing and supportive therapies and treatments which empower people with these neurological conditions to live life to the full.
Thank you for your support.
