Story
Mike and I are taking on a series of physically and mentally demanding challenges on our journey to the ultimate goal – the London Marathon in April 2027.
Our road to London includes:
* Lyme Park 10K
* Stockport 10K
* Southport 10K
* Born Survivor
* Alton Towers Half Marathon
* HYROX Doubles
And then, the main event… the London Marathon.
A few years ago, I never would have believed this was possible. I couldn’t imagine running 5K, never mind 10K, a half marathon, or a marathon. It felt like an impossible dream. But I’ve learned that with determination, support, and the right people around you, impossible things can become reality.
Mike and I have built a great friendship through fitness. We push each other to our limits, hold each other accountable, and encourage one another to keep going when things get tough. This challenge isn’t just about crossing finish lines – it’s about proving what’s possible when you refuse to give up.
We’re taking on these events to raise money for Andy’s Man Club, a charity that means more to me than I can put into words.
After my dad passed away, I hit rock bottom. I was suicidal and planning to end my own life. I couldn’t see a future for myself. Then I found Andy’s Man Club.
The support, understanding, and brotherhood I found there helped me rebuild my life. The incredible men at AMC helped me become a better version of myself. They helped save my life.
Today, my body is capable of things that the old version of me could only dream about.
For the last three years, I’ve also battled a severe back injury. There are days when the physical pain is tough, but I’ve built resilience through everything I’ve been through. As I always say:
“The physical pain I feel is nothing compared to the mental pain I’ve survived.”
I want to create a legacy of being “the guy that got help, then helped others.” That’s why I continue to fundraise for charities close to my heart and why this challenge means so much to me.
Every mile we run, every obstacle we overcome, and every challenge we complete is for those who are struggling and to help Andy’s Man Club continue the life-saving work they do.
If our journey can encourage even one person to ask for help or help raise vital funds for someone else to get the support they need, then every step will be worth it.
Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference.
