Story
I’ve set myself a challenge that brings together two things that mean a lot to me: my love of rugby and supporting better mental health.
As a lifelong Northampton Saints fan, I wanted to turn the excitement of a title-defending campaign into something positive. So this season, I’m taking on The Rugby Run in support of CALM — Campaign Against Living Miserably.
The challenge is simple:
For every try Northampton Saints score in the Premiership this season, I’ll run 1 kilometre.
As the tries add up, so do the kilometres.
Saints scored more than 100 tries last season, so if they produce anything similar this year, I’ve got a serious amount of running ahead of me. But that’s exactly the point — I wanted to set myself a challenge that would genuinely test me while raising money and awareness for something far more important.
I’m aiming to raise £1,000 for CALM.
CALM is a suicide prevention charity. They provide life-saving support, campaign to change the conversation around suicide, and help people find a way forward when they need it most.
Mental health is something I care deeply about. Sometimes making a difference starts with something as simple as a conversation — noticing someone, checking in, listening, and giving them the time to talk.
Every try. Every kilometre. Every conversation matters.
If you can, please donate and help me reach the £1,000 target. If you can’t donate, sharing this page and the message behind it can be just as valuable.
So Saints — keep the tries coming. The more you score, the further I run, and the more we can raise for CALM.
Come on you Saints. 🖤💚💛
