Education provided to Palestinian children and youth has been critically undermined due to decades of occupation, measures of control and restriction, reoccurring military attacks, settler violence, and weak national due processes.

By the age of 15 nearly 25% of boys and 7% of girls drop out of school (UNCIEF, 2018).

Only 52.7% of children aged 7-14 demonstrate foundational reading skills (UNICEF, 2021).

31% of high school students fail their GCSE equivalent exams (Palsawa, 2019).

90% of children living in Gaza have been diagnosed with PTSD since the military attack of May 2021 (EuroMedMonitor, 2021).
