We are a team of 4 and we have decided to do the 18 mile kilt walk for a great cause ‘Jacobs Journey’ for Cystic Fibrosis.

We have set ourselves this cheeky challenge to not only raise vital funds for this amazing charity, but to get walking in the great outdoors. We hope to move our bottoms off the couch and manage the 18mile trek around the Deeside. 

The Shire Shuffler members are Heather MacIsaac,  Shona Duthie, Ronnie MacIsaac and Anne Coubrough.

We would love to SMASH 💥 our target and we appreciate whatever you can give to help us find a cure for Jacob and others with this life limiting condition.

Our little Jacob was diagnosed with CF when he was only 3 days old. Our hearts shattered and our lives changed forever. Catapulted into a different parenthood journey we did not see coming. Our hearts will be forever broken by the diagnosis, until a cure is found for our little Jacob and everyone else who is affected by CF.  Although our hearts are broken, we have a belly full of fire to fight this!!!!!  I am forever grateful to The Shire Shufflers for raising money for this amazing charity - CF Trust and our beautiful boy Jacob. I know deep down in my heart that with donations from you kind souls that  CF will soon stand for CURE FOUND 🙌🏻💛 How AMAZING would that be?☺️ I know you will help us fight it 🙏

What is CF? 

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
