Story
Hi everyone,
We are incredibly grateful and excited to share some wonderful news with you! This academic year, Rossett School has chosen us as their charity of the year, and together we are working to enhance the SEND community in Harrogate. This partnership marks a significant milestone for our charity, The Sibling Group.
We will be renting the Hunter Block at Rossett School for our day centre and sibling groups. This building, previously a sixth form block, is completely separate from the school — fenced off with secure access that does not require passing through the school grounds. No students from Rossett School will have access to our space, ensuring a safe and dedicated environment for those we support.
Starting 1st July 2026, we will begin transforming this space into a welcoming home for our service users. Our plans include decorating and renovating to create a vibrant activity room, offices for staff, a kitchen and lunch area, a sensory room and garden, plus access to a large outdoor field. These facilities will allow us to provide tailored support that meets the complex needs of young people and adults in our community more effectively than ever before. The sensory spaces especially represent years of aspiration coming to life — offering regulation areas that are vital for many of those we serve.
This new chapter is exactly what our CEO envisioned when founding The Sibling Group: a place where every individual receives the highest quality care in an environment designed just for them. We are optimistic about what this means for expanding our reach and deepening our impact on families who rely on us.
However, we cannot do this alone — we need your help! To make this vision a reality, we must raise £5,000 GBP to cover decorating costs, renovations, and essential sensory equipment that will bring this space alive with comfort and purpose.
Please join us in supporting The Sibling Group by contributing today. Your generosity will directly empower us to create an inspiring sanctuary where every service user feels valued and supported on their unique journey. Together, let’s take this huge step forward — because every child deserves a place they can truly call their own.
