Story
On 21st February, ‘The Splash Pack’ Laurena, Glenn, Leo, Rory, nanny Bernie and grandad Ian, are coming together to compete against 50+ teams to swim as many lengths as possible in the annual Milton Keynes Rotary Swim.
We’re raising essential funds to sustain the priceless impact of Safety Centre Hazard Alley - the UK’s longest serving charity dedicated to teaching children across the South East how to stay safe from harm inside and outside of the home.
Over the past 30 years, the charity has taught life saving lessons to over half a million children. Our interventions have really made the difference to life or death situations such as children being confident to call for emergency services or apply first aid as a result of their trip to Hazard Alley.
Laurena, her sister Ali, their childhood friends, Glenn and many of his friends, all had the advantage of visiting Hazard Alley with their schools in the 1990s- and today, Laurena is proud to be working with the charity knowing it’s had life long impact and continues to do so for 11,000 children every year.
Our target is to raise £600 - enough to fund visits to Hazard Alley for 48 children this year. A small donation really can prevent the unthinkable so thank you for donating what you can.
And moreover, our wonderful friends at the rotary have selected Hazard Alley as one of the benefiting charities and will make a donation to fund hundreds more children to visit this year.
Do come along to cheer us on if you’re free, and either way, please donate what you can. Thank you for your support xx
