Ready, Set, Donate! For our Mario Kart Charity Challenge!

Get ready to power up your generosity, because Edward, Tommy, Jonny, Tom and Ross are about to hit the track at the Farndon Soapbox Race 2025! We're not just racing for glory; we're racing for a fantastic cause, all while bringing the chaotic, coin-collecting world of Mario Kart to life!

Our team, a motley crew of Holt Padel Society members, are swapping our rackets for race suits and aiming for the finish line. Think of us as trading our usual 'smash' shots on the padel court for a super-powered start on the asphalt! We've got Jonny, whose "power serve" on the padel court we're hoping translates into a lightning-fast launch for our kart.

Then there's Tommy and Tom, our resident Wrexham superfans, who are bringing their Championship spirit to the team. Ross will be powering us on with a ‘mushroom boost' past the competition! And rest assured, no matter if we hit a 'banana peel' or snag a 'star', we'll all be celebrating (or commiserating!) with a well-deserved pint at the White Lion after the race, just like after a good game of padel.

Our kart, a true work of art, has been meticulously crafted by my dad, the legendary Kevin Musson, a real life FIA champion. So you know this isn't just any old contraption; it's got championship winning DNA – built to 'dodge shells' and handle the tightest turns. Then, to give us that extra turbo boost, my super bro Paul, a graphic design wizard, has masterfully decorated our kart, ensuring we'll be the best-looking (and hopefully fastest!) team on the course. He's made it truly 'super star' quality.

We're in this for the fun, the challenge, and most importantly, to raise some serious coins for charity. Every "power-up" donation, big or small, will help us cross the finish line and make a real difference. Think of your contribution as collecting 'gold coins' for a brilliant cause!
