Story
We are putting our love of football to the ultimate test this summer by entering one of Tackle's Football Marathons - a unique fundraising event. Each year over 1000 people take part in Tackle's regional 12-hour Hey there, generous legends!
We’re hitting you up on behalf of Tackle, a brilliant organization giving African kids a fighting chance—unlike our football skills, which could use a mercy rule. Our team is gearing up to stagger through 24 football games in 12 hours (yes, we’re bonkers), and while we’re not exactly poetry in motion—last year we somehow fluked our way to third out of 40 teams—we’re dead set on raising a pile of cash for the kids.
Imagine us: a sweaty, chaotic mess, tripping over each other, and hoping the ball takes pity on us. It’s a comedy show with a cause! So, please, dig into those pockets, chuck us some dosh, and help turn our collective clumsiness into something epic. Every quid helps—unlike our shots on goal, which mostly help the birds in the stands.
Tackle uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across Sub-Saharan Africa.
