The Welsh 3000s - Twice

We want to continue Elsie's 'Story'; her positivity, love for others and energy of life... We will be funding activities, essential resources and special experiences that bring happiness and hope. Every grant we give, every smile we create and every life we touch is a reflection of Elsie's legacy.

Story

The Welsh 3000s – Twice

April 2025

We are a team of 12 serving and veteran military personnel embarking on an extraordinary challenge to support an exceptional charity that is incredibly close to our hearts and our community – Elsie’s Story.

Elsie’s Story is a charitable trust set up by the family of Elsie who they lost so tragically in the attack in Southport on 29th July 2024. The family want to continue to share Elsie’s positivity, love for others and her energy of life. The Trusts goal is to support young people and assist individuals and families within the Southport community and region. They hope to fund community projects, medical care, and provide support for those in need, fundamentally bringing people together, fostering unity and creating opportunities for positive change.

The challenge. The Welsh 3000s is an iconic event which involves summiting all 15 peaks in Wales over 3000 feet. Situated in Snowdonia and covering approximately 35 miles with nearly 4000m of ascent in under 24hrs, it is considered one of the toughest challenges in the UK.

Our team aims to complete this twice, there and back, totalling 30 peaks, covering approximately 70 miles with nearly 8000m of elevation gain, all within a 48-hour time limit. It is set to be a gruelling test of endurance, resilience and teamwork.

This is more than just a physical feat; it’s a testament to what we can achieve when likeminded people come together for a greater cause. The Southport community has inspired us and we hope our efforts will inspire you to give, share, and support this amazing charity.

Your support - whether through donations, no matter how big or small, or sharing this cause means we will make a meaningful difference.

Thank you.
