On May 3rd, Gemma & I will be running the Southampton Half Marathon to raise money for the Flutterbyes Fund under Hampshire Hospitals Charity.

Last year, one of Gemma’s closest friends heartbreakingly lost her beautiful baby girl, Dottie. During the most devastating time, the care, compassion and support provided by the Flutterbyes team meant more than words can say.

Flutterbyes supports families who experience the loss of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth. Donations help fund precious memory-making items, specialist bereavement counselling, support groups, and the upkeep of the Butterfly Bereavement Suites — peaceful, home-from-home rooms within maternity units where families can spend invaluable time with their baby.

We are running in memory of Dottie — to honour her, to keep her name alive, and to help ensure other families receive the same kindness and dignity during such a heartbreaking time.
