The Widowed Sing 2026

Cambridge Widows is raising money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

The Widowed Sing 2026 · 10 October 2026

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end-of-life care. Its ‘Outstanding’ services are provided free of charge to patients and their families to help make every moment count.

Story

The Widowed Sing is one day pop-up choir for anyone whose life partner has died.

Singing in groups is known to be beneficial to our mental health and increases wellbeing. Singing alongside other widows and widowers provides a unique opportunity to connect with those who get it, to make new friends and pause the grief.

We are asking for donations to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity (ARHC) to support this event for the widowed. This is a cause close to our hearts as ARHC supported many of our loved ones in their final months and days.

We will end the day with a short performance of the 3 songs we are learning. Anyone is welcome to join us in person in St Paul's Church, Hills Road, Cambridge at 5pm (doors open 4.30pm) Saturday 10 October, and stay afterwards for a glass of wine. Or you can watch us via livestream (details tbc).

Thank you for your support and donations. It means a lot to us all
