''Endometriosis is the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK. Endometriosis affects 1.5 million women, on average it takes 8 years from onset of symptoms to get a diagnosis.''
My journey was more fourtunate, after only waiting over a year for surgery and diagnosis. In the time of waiting for appointments from the NHS, Endometriosis UK was the only resources that provided emotional support that I was in desperate need of.
At the age of 19 to 20 I was questioning my fertility, my womanhood and career opportunities as an emerging professional dance artist. My reality now is navigating constant chronic pain in an industry that fosters "no pain no gain".
