In memory of the great Jim White for The Wayside Club Centre

The family of Jim White is raising money for The Wayside Club Centre
In memory of Jim White
The Wayside Club was established in 1932 to meet the needs of the homeless and those suffering from hardship, addiction to alcohol or gambling. It is operated by the Legion of Mary, a Catholic lay organisation and helpers from other religions and none. We do not judge or condemn anyone no matter what their past has been. We listen, comfort, give advice if required and try to assist in progressing to a more hopeful future. It provides a warm, friendly and safe environment every evening and Saturday afternoon throughout the year including all the Public holidays.

Story

Jim White, husband, father and grandpa and all round great guy devoted 70 years to the Wayside Club, a well established homeless charity in Glasgow. He undertook many roles in his time there, most recently as Treasurer but he could also be found outside Pret picking up food produce for the charity. He often spoke at events to raise money and he helped secure financially the building they operate out of in the centre of Glasgow. He was always kind and generous with the people who needed help. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him and it would be a wonderful legacy to help raise funds for a charity so close to his heart.
