Story
We are fortunate enough both to have secured an entry to London Marathon and have decided to do a joint charity fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis.
As I (Thomas) live with CF since I was born, I know first hand how this challenging this life-limiting condition can be. I feel fortunate at the age of 32 to be able attempt a marathon where many other can't or didn't have the chance. Thats why we have chosen to run for Cystic Fibrosis Care.
Cystic Fibrosis Care supports people with Cystic Fibrosis, their families and specialist CF centres and hospital units.
CF Care know that many families and patients are struggling with the cost of living, travel to hospital, or the cost of re-training for work or enabling emotional counselling and much more. We provide hardship and welfare grants, emotional support, essential medical and physio equipment, and fund the training of CF nurses to provide a better quality of life for those with CF.
We have been training hard since October for this run, often running in unpleasant weather conditions to ensure we meet our training targets. We'd appreciate any donations to keep us on our training plan as we head towards to finish line in April.
TThank You for reading and donating!
