Story
Verity Interiors are doing the 24 hour 3 Peaks challenge for MND on 3rd June in memory of Toms late mother-in-law Gail.
A message from Tom:
“2 years ago on 7th March I lost my Mother-in-law to MND.
Over my life, I had only been exposed to what MND was, did, and how it effected people through watching people on TV such as Rob Burrows and Stephen Hawkins. Never did I think it would become part of mine or my family’s life.
My mother-in-law Gail was quite literally an Angel in disguise. She only ever did good by people and filled rooms with love, making them the best place they can be. She loved her family like no one I have ever witnessed and certainly taught me a lot. It goes without saying how much I miss her.
Her diagnosis and subsequent loss proved to me that this disease holds no prisoners, boundaries or compassion for those who are diagnosed and for those around them.
My wife, so close to her Mum, felt every day of the disease with her, as did my Father-in-law, and Brother-in-law. Everyone pulled together and supporting Gail through the last difficult period of her life, but the effects are obviously lasting
The only way to attack this disease is to stop it, and the MND association have hope in their research that preventative measures will come with further support and funding.
My business partner James and Rob willingly agreed to join me on this challenge to raise as much money as possible for the MND association to help their research.
Please please please dig deep whilst we look forward to no sleep for 24 hours and climbing the three largest Peaks in Great Britain!
I thank anyone who is in a position to support us in Gail's memory in advance.
This one is for you Gail (I'll put all of those Christmas socks to good use) x”
