Story
Street Child is a cause which is very close to me personally - access to education is a basic human right, and the work they do in disadvantaged countries to help children to receive an education is critical.
I have experienced firsthand what varying standards of education can look like across the globe, having stayed at a school in Kenya in 2020, and delivered lessons across a week (whilst also fundraising for materials for the school). This taught me firsthand that education - something which is seen as a given in the UK, and across most of Europe - is a battle in a lot of different parts of the word. Many children leave school at a very young age to earn a living to support their family, leaving generations who have not had access to school.
Street Child is doing amazing work to combat the variation in access to education across the world in 22 different countries, and make a real, tangible impact on the lives of children.
It is therefore my honour to run the Berlin marathon 2026 in aid of Street Child - please donate if you can!
