Story
As it gets darker and colder it is horrible seeing the impact that homelessness has on people. I can literally see it on my runs, and I want to do something to help! The housing crisis is a national emergency. It's estimated that 1.7 million people are impacted by the housing emergency, either trying to get by without a safe place to call home or dealing with damp and mould in poorly kept rental and temporary housing.
Shelter believes that a safe home is a fundamental need and basic moral right, and so do I. That's why I'm joining the fight for home by taking on the Manchester Marathon and Hackney Half Marathon. My fundraising will support families and individuals facing homelessness and unfit housing.
Over the next six months I'll be running over 1,000km, culminating with the Manchester Marathon in April 2026, followed by the Hackney Half Marathon in May.
Help me support the fight for home. Because home is everything.
Please give generously, the first £500 will be matched by my employer too!
