On Sunday 7th September 2025 I am Starting off at the Titanic Building in Belfast to embark on a run of 47 Miles finishing at Mullartown house itself in Annalong

Money raised will go directly to the cottage building project which will make such a difference to not only the everyday running of Mullartown but with intern’s and leaders to stay during their time here

The reason for the 47 Miles is simple Mullartown house is 47 years old this year and now I’m wondering why I didn’t commit to 47K rather than miles 🤯 but well worth it for the Cause 😊

I am Raising money for Mullartown house Cottage Project as this place in our family is simply part of the furniture as Children me, my sisters and cousins went here most summers for Bible Club Camp learnt and met so many awesome people and took part in so many awesome activities with memories to last a lifetime 😊

Mullartown House has seen tens if not hundreds of thousands of Adults and young people pass through its doors over the years and I’m sure it holds a place in the hearts of anyone who has had the joy of experiencing it.

My Sister Gemma has always been the heart and soul of this place ever since from Volunteering as a camp leader to then becoming an intern and moving into the cottage in 2011. Gemma and her Husband Jason are now the Mullartown House Directors. In her words below

“ I moved into the cottage as an intern in 2011. And then when I got married Jason and I both lived in it as we assisted the then camp director Scott widman. We even brought our first son home to live in the cottage in 2014 the previous camp director felt it was his time to move on and so Jason and I started the hand over process, and then in Sept 2015 Scott finished and Jason and I took on the leadership here at mullartown.”

Mullartown house is a residential camp and conference centre for kids and young people. Each year we have between 2000 - 3000 kids/young people and leaders through our doors.

Mullartown is a Christian based ministry where kids and young people come to the mournes for a weekend or week away from their usual routines and get an opportunity to have a bitta craic, get to know new people, build alot of independence and hear the word of God.

Mullartown house is a non profit charity with kids and young people at the heart of everything we do. We also have home start, surestart and schomberg as some of the organisations along with other groups and bible studies who use our facilities on a weekly basis aswell. Every day we have kids and young people at our facilities.

As alot of our ministry is residential we have staff who live onsite. The camp directors are one set of people. But we also had a wee cottage which housed people who took a gap year after school or university to come along side the work here at mullartown house. These young people who would stay in this cottage don't get paid but they do get their accommodation paid for. The yesr internship is an opportunity for the individual to grow in confidence and get poured into qnd developed but the intern is also essential to help us deliver programs and keep up the facilities here at mullartown house.
