Thomas Keble Sponsored Walk 2025 · 27 September 2024

Thomas Keble is a medium sized community comprehensive school. We have developed a reputation for an inclusive approach which enables students of all needs and abilities to engage positively with learning. Our funding is complex, due to the higher than average number of students with Special Educational Needs within our school community. However, we celebrate the diversity of our student body as by working and learning together, we are able to develop a deep appreciation of others’ needs and an empathetic attitude that lasts a lifetime. Please help us to provide the extra resources we need to continue to operate in an inclusive and ethical way, with our children at the heart of what we do.

Story

A long-standing tradition at Thomas Keble is an annual sponsored walk as our principal charity work. Over the years, the walk has raised a tremendous amount of money, averaging over £10,000 each year and a wide variety of local, national and international causes have benefited from the students’ efforts.

This year we will be supporting the following charities:

• Sunflower Suicide Support, based in Stonehouse

• The Long Table, Stroud

• Thomas Keble PTA Fundraising Campaign to supplement items for the new build.

Each charity will receive a third of the total funds raised.

The walk takes place entirely in the school day, this year on Friday 27th September. It follows an established route, closely marshalled by a combination of parents and school staff.
