Maghull FC U10 – Mental Elf 5KM Run
In Honour of Phil Doyle
📅 Saturday, 20th December 2025
📍 Maghull FC Club Hall Lane, L31 3DY
Maghull FC U10s are proud to host our annual Mental Elf 5KM Run, bringing together our entire Maghull FC family — from our youth teams to our men’s, women’s, and committee members — as we raise awareness and support for the mental health charity Mind.
About Mind
Mind is a UK charity dedicated to providing vital information and support to anyone living with, or affected by, mental health challenges. Their work helps thousands of people across the country every day — ensuring no one has to face mental health struggles alone.
Why We Run
This cause is especially close to our hearts.
Our teammate Jackson and his little brother Ethan tragically lost their father, Phil Doyle, following his battle with mental health. As a football family, we all felt the impact deeply.
Our Mental Elf Run is about far more than just running.
It’s about coming together as a community — to talk, to laugh, to remember, and to raise awareness for the incredible work that charities like Mind do every single day. It’s also our way of keeping Phil Doyle’s memory a special and lasting part of our team and our club.
How You Can Help
We know it’s close to Christmas — an expensive time for everyone — so whether you’re able to donate, share our page, or simply spread the word, every bit of support makes a difference.
Together, let’s break the stigma, support one another, and keep promoting kindness, understanding, and conversation around mental health.
Thank you for your support, from everyone at Maghull FC.
