Story
Thomas’s life was taken too soon, at only 37 he died of suspected drug death after a lifetime of battling addictions and poor mental health. As Thomas’s cousin Bob recalled from a visit with Thomas to a drug recovery support service - ‘Thomas chose to take drugs, he did not choose to become addicted to drugs.’
Transform Forth Valley are a charity supporting people like Thomas experiencing addictions and inequality.
In memory of Thomas, and in lieu of funeral flowers, donations are gratefully received to enable Transform to support people struggling like Thomas did, and hopefully prevent them from reaching this same fate. Support and recovery services can be the lifeline people need, and are often the last line of connection when other services and supports have failed.
There’s also a lack of specialist outreach services across Forth Valley, and Transform provided support to Thomas in the final weeks of his life.
Thank you for enabling Thomas’s legacy to help others, and giving hope that change is possible.
