North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service currently have 18 new Wholetime Firefighter recruits going through their initial training. They will be completing a step up challenge whilst wearing full firekit and breathing apparatus in aid of the Firefighters Charity UK.

The charity provides timely clinical care and wellbeing support to members of UK Fire and Rescue Service's and their families, helping them to adapt to physical, emotional and social challanges, to adapt to conditions, injuries and illness, and to transition to life after service.
