Oxford Half for Thames Valley Air Ambulance

Oxford Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
In October, I will be running the Oxford Half-Marathon to raise funds for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
In 2018, I was in a flying accident where I flew my Paramotor into a high-voltage power transmission line. The accident caused burns to 18% of my body, and I received critical care from the Warwickshire Air Ambulance team, who transported me to the specialist burns unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham (sadly not by air!)
Since the accident, I have realised the importance of the service provided by Air Ambulances and I have been looking for an opportunity to raise funds in support of Air Ambulances.
For my fundraiser, I'll be participating in my first organised half-marathon and would appreciate any donation, no matter how small. My employer, Norbar Torque Tools, has generously offered to match donations up to £300 to support my fundraising efforts.
If you participate in risky hobbies like paramotoring, paragliding, motor-biking, horse-riding, or any other adventurous activities, it's crucial to acknowledge that this incredible life-saving service is funded solely by donations and would be there to support you in case of an emergency.
