Hackney Half for Max 💙 fundraiser for Cardiac Risk in the Young

THOMAS MCCRONE is raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young
In memory of Max Oliver

Hackney Half Marathon 2025 · 18 May 2025 ·

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

In memory of Max Oliver 💙

Tragically, we lost Max on 5th September 2024 and it’s safe to say none of our lives have been the same since.

On Sunday 18th May, 6 of Max’s close friends will be running the Hackney Half Marathon in his memory and to raise awareness and money for CRY.

As you’ll see from the names below, some of us are more suited to running than others….

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
