We are a charity created to support the 220 pupils, staff and families connected to Parkview Special School in Lisburn. We aim to improve their educational setting by supporting their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Your support means the world to me and to The Friends Of Parkview School.

My name is James McMichael and i am a pupil at Parkview Special School in Lisburn. I am 7 years old and like many of my school friends, I have complex needs. I am non-verbal, have no mobility, I have epilepsy and I am also visually impaired.

I love my school so much and they provide me and my friends with so much support & care and when im there I always have a smile on my face. The school make my life and my families life so much easier.

To help me and my family say thank you, and to try and help all the other children at Parkview Special school, on 21st March 2024 my Dad Tommy and my Uncle Luke will be climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, which is the highest mountain in the UK at 4,413 feet high.

This will be a big challenge for them as the weather conditions will most likely be poor, and the mountain covered in snow and ice.

My dad has always said, kids with complex needs climb a mountain every single day of their lives.

Having the right equipment to "climb that mountain" can make all the difference.

The Friends of Parkview Charity, with your support, can help make sure all the children at Parkview have the right equipment to make their journey that little bit easier.

Please make a donation, no matter how small, to this fantastic charity.

Together we can make a difference.
