I am fundraising for Pegasus Theatre by running the Oxford Half-Marathon on Sunday 12th October 2025!

“Young people are the life force of Pegasus.”

This belief runs through everything Pegasus Theatre does. From its home in the heart of East Oxford, Pegasus provides inspiration, support, and a creative springboard for young people and artists from all backgrounds to explore who they are, find their voice, and imagine what they can become.

As someone who has proudly been part of the Pegasus family since 2019, as an artist, tutor, board member, and audience member -I’ve witnessed first-hand the transformative power of this remarkable place. Pegasus isn’t just a theatre. It’s a creative hub. A safe space. A community.

Through innovative classes, inclusive projects, and performances that reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Oxford, Pegasus helps young people embark on personal journeys full of aspiration and imagination. Whether they dream of a life on stage or are simply seeking connection and confidence, Pegasus opens doors.

Pegasus has been creating theatre for, by and with young people in East Oxford for over 60 years, inspiring imagination and aspiration for successive generations of young people. The theatre strives to be accessible and affordable for all: It provides inclusion and community projects, as well as fully supported places on all classes and courses, and community tickets for local groups and charitable organisations. More than 16,000 people engaged with Pegasus’s ambitious programme in 2024–25.

Each year, Pegasus must raise £175,000 to continue offering outstanding creative experiences, nurturing exciting new talent, and ensuring everything we do remains inclusive, accessible, and affordable for all.

This is no small achievement and it’s only possible through the generosity of people who believe in what Pegasus stands for.

Today, I am asking you to help if you can, however that might look: donate, spread the word, or come to show. However you can, your support can help a young person take their first dance class. Help a family attend their first theatre show. Help a teenager discover their confidence, their creativity, their community.
