Story
2021 began with so much joy; my wife and I were expecting our second child and eagerly awaiting their arrival later that year. But at our five-month scan, our world was shattered. The news we received wasn’t what we had hoped for... our baby Noa’s heart had stopped beating.
After the birth, we had just a few precious hours with Noa, and although brief, these were moments we will cherish forever. Noa’s presence continues to shape our lives, and we are forever grateful for the time we had with her.
When Noa was born, we had one beautiful, healthy child. Following Noa's birth, we experienced two further miscarriages, and then in December of 2022 we were blessed with the arrival of baby Mia.
Growing our family over the last seven year hasn't been easy, we've experienced lots of loss and lots of heartbreak, but we're forever thankful for our three beautiful children, Luca, Noa and Mia. And although Noa isn't with us, she continues to have a positive impact on our life.
This May, I’ll be running the Great Bristol Half Marathon in support of the Saying Goodbye Charity, which provides guidance, support, and comfort to those who have experienced the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy, birth, or infancy.
I haven't run 21km in a few years, so at this stage, it's a little daunting, but with the support of my friends, family, and the amazing community at The Dad Vibes, I hope to push through and make our baby Noa proud.
