Running the Ultra X GB Slam for a Grand Uncle

Thomas Schofield is raising money for Neath Port Talbot Cancer Challenge
In memory of Uncle Rob

Ultra X GB Slam: 3 Ultra Trail Marathons in 5 months · 14 September 2025

With very little expenses we have spent over £1m on equipment for use in local cancer hospitals since 1998. We identify required equipment by speaking to the clinicians , fund raise specifically for that equipment, buy that equipment and then start again.

Story

This summer I'll be running the Ultra X GB Slam which consists of 3 ultra trail marathons across three countries in 5 months, all in memory of my Uncle Rob who passed away last May. The Slam consists of:

UltraX Scotland 50km - 4th May 2025

UltraX Wales 50km - 27th July 2025

UltraX England 50km - 14th September 2025

I'll be raising money for Neath Port Talbot Cancer Challenge. They're run by volunteers and buy the things that the hospitals need or want, but that is not provided for them in their current budget. They work very closely with the consultants to ensure that the money you raise and donate is put to the very best use.

My Uncle Rob spent much of his life living in Neath Port Talbot, a town where he was widely known for his generosity and kindness. It feels fitting to continue his legacy of giving by accumulating donations in his name which can help others in the town he loved.

Thank you in advance for your donations.

Thomas
