Led by a team of leading Indigenous rights lawyers, AmazoniAlerta is a Brazilian NGO that focuses on using Indigenous rights law to amplify the agency of Indigenous communities in the Brazilian Amazon and the Indigenous rights movement in Brazil. We work with local partner guardian groups on territorial monitoring and legal actions to defend Indigenous lands, legally advocate for Indigenous rights in Brazil and internationally and run legal education and training programs to support Indigenous law students and lawyers.
