Thomas & Thacker's Story

On 21-Aug 2020 Catriona and James lost their identical twin boys, Thomas and Thacker, to TTTS. It happened very quickly and they had no warning.

Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) is a rare but life-threatening condition that affects around 15% of identical twins that share a placenta. Research is helping to build a true picture of TTTS cases in the UK and the survival rates for them. This invaluable data supports future ongoing research into TTTS including the longer-term consequences of individual treatments.

Catriona and James would appreciate any support that you could provide to help ensure fewer people have to suffer the agony of suddenly, and inexplicably, losing their children as they did.
