Story
On Sunday 21st June 2026, I’ll be doing something slightly unhinged: getting strapped to the top of a vintage biplane and flying through the air at 120mph. Absolutely insane but for an incredible cause.
I’m raising money for Harry’s Pals, a charity that provides free emotional support to parents of critically ill and disabled children. It was set up by a mum who knew firsthand how isolating and overwhelming a life-changing diagnosis can be - and how little emotional support there often is for parents at that moment.
Harry’s Pals offers counselling and therapy, short breaks for families who desperately need a breather, and a safe peer-support community where parents can talk to people who genuinely get it. They also campaign to improve support and understanding for disabled children and their families more widely.
This challenge is massive for me, but if it helps even a few parents feel less alone at the hardest time of their lives, it’s 100% worth it.
